More than three months after scoring an enormous $105 million jackpot playing LottoLand, the winner has been recognized by Guinness World Records.

The lucky winner – a 36-year old housecleaner from Berlin, Germany identified only as “Christina” – now holds the record for receiving the largest online gambling payout (€90,000,000 / £79,002,400 / $105,121,000).

In a press release announcing the new highwater mark for online wager winnings, Guinness World Records official adjudicator Sofia Greenacre congratulated Christina on her historic score:

“I’m pleased to confirm that Lottoland did indeed manage to set a new Guinness World Records title for the Largest Online Gambling Payout, which now stands at an incredible €90,000,000.

My congratulations go out to all those who took part, you are officially amazing.”

Guinness World Records has been busy tracking online gaming wins of late, as the Mega Moolah online slot is set to break the current mark of $20,066,800 (€17,880,900 / £13,213,838).

LottoLand Celebrates Record-Setting Jackpot Along with Lucky Winner

Launched in 2013, the Gibraltar-based LottoLand is the world’s largest online lottery wagering service. More than 8 million customers use LottoLand to enjoy access to over 30 worldwide lotteries, even when they don’t reside in that lotto’s legal jurisdiction.

This access is made possible because LottoLand doesn’t actually allow players to enter out of market lotteries. Instead, players pay the same ticket price and guess numbers according to their preferred lotto’s rules and gameplay.

And when a fortunate player manages to connect for winning combinations, LottoLand uses a nine-figure insurance policy to provide commensurate payouts.

Nigel Birrell – who serves as chief executive officer for LottoLand – offered the following statement to celebrate the company’s record-setting jackpot:

“We are absolutely delighted to achieve a Guinness World Record. It’s such an accolade to find ourselves in this hall of fame.

This title is a confirmation of our business model, it proves that we are able to even break world records thanks to our sophisticated insurance model. At Lottoland, we are in the business of making dreams come true. Therefore, we are always thrilled that we just completely changed the life of one of our players completely.

We pride ourselves on paying out even the biggest wins within record time and are more than happy to help Christina and her mum to fulfil their dreams.”

Woman Uses Her Mother’s Intuition to Nail Winning Numbers

Back on June 1, Christina used her mobile device’s LottoLand app to enter the Euro Jackpot, a transnational lotto program that covers most of the European Union.

Players must guess five numbers correctly out of 50 in the base game, along with two “lucky” numbers out of 10, to claim the top Euro Jackpot prize. Accomplishing this perfect seven-number ticket requires players to overcome massive odds against of 1 in 95,344,200.

Making just her second wager via LottoLand, Christina’s five-number base game slate showed 14, 19, 21, 30, 32 – plus the “lucky” numbers 4 and 7 – a combination she received from her mother.

Shortly after hearing the good news, Christina told LottoLand that she would surely spend a lifetime repaying her “mum” in kind:

“I couldn’t believe it! I’m still in shock to be honest.

It’s a lot to take in, but I’m so happy to finally be able to look after my mum and the rest of my family.”

Christina also revealed that she immediately quit her late-night cleaning gig, while vowing to use her eight-figure windfall to travel the world:

“I’ve always wanted to travel and visit new countries.

Finally, I’ll be able to afford my dream holiday: driving coast-to-coast across the United States in a camper van.”
