Gambling enthusiasts in New Jersey are now chasing the country’s largest progressive online slot jackpot, with more than $3 million in winnings up for grabs.

In a press release issued on February 26 by Roar Digital, the joint venture by MGM Resorts and GVC Holdings revealed that five of its online slot games are now linked to the record-setting jackpot.

In the statement, Roar Digital’s gaming director Matthew Sunderland celebrated the big news for online slot players across the Garden State:

“It’s extremely exciting to see our casino jackpot prize pool reach this monumental amount.

It’s a true testament to the great exclusive game titles that we’re offering across BetMGM’s casino platforms.”

MGM and GVC Team Up to Take New Jersey Jackpots to Next Level

Users of Roar Digital’s centerpiece online casino BetMGM – along with the PartyCasino.com and BorgataOnline.com platforms – can spin their way to a seven-figure score by playing the following online slot games:

  • Biker Pigs
  • Going Nuts
  • Loot’Enkhamun
  • Luck of the Jackpot
  • Melon Madness

Roar Digital was created in July of 2018, when the Las Vegas-based MGM Resorts entered a 50/50 partnership with the Isle of Man-based GVC Holdings – parent company of worldwide iGaming brands such as Ladbrokes / Coral, bwin, and PartyPoker.

In September of last year, Roar Digital made its presence known in New Jersey by rebranding its New Jersey online gambling app from PlayMGM to BetMGM.

Since then, the BetMGM online casino app has gone live in West Virginia and Indiana, but players in those states are not currently eligible to win the $3 million progressive jackpot.

At the time of this writing on March 5, the progressive online slot jackpot meter shows a total of $3,019,400.13 and counting.

But as Sunderland told PlayNJ.com recently, players enjoying any of the five progressive jackpot games can win major money even if they don’t trigger the topline payout:

“There are a number of wins built into the slot games a player can achieve, the top of those being $3 million.

There’s no difference in accounting for the jackpot. We accrue money to pay out jackpot wins.”

As Sunderland said, in a progressive jackpot slot game, a small portion of every wager won by the casino is diverted to grow the topline payout. The jackpot meter will continue to climb higher and higher until one lucky player lines up the required symbol combination.

All five of the Roar Digital slot games listed above are linked to the network’s “The Big One Jackpot.” And in turn, The Big One Jackpot is made up of five separate progressive jackpots that range in size from a few bucks to over $3 million:

  • Blitz Cash Jackpot
  • Quick Cash Jackpot
  • Super Cash Jackpot
  • Mega Cash Jackpot
  • Colossal Cash Jackpot

When playing the Melon Madness slot, for example, players hope to hit a randomly triggered jackpot bonus game that replaces the regular reels with a multicolored prize wheel.

From there, spinning the wheel and landing on three or more lavender spaces will trigger the Colossal Cash Jackpot – and a life-changing multimillion-dollar payday.

New Jersey’s thriving iGaming industry has paid out several massive progressive jackpots over the last year.

In September, an anonymous winner pocketed more than $612,000 while playing the Wonderland slot game, and the Divine Fortune slot has generated a slew of six-figure payouts as well.
