At approximately 7:30 a.m. local time, a woman from the town of Selinsgrove – who has chosen to remain anonymous at this time – fired away with a $4 spin on the Divine Fortune progressive slot game. She had only been playing for 17 minutes when that fateful $4 bet triggered Divine Fortune’s progressive Mega Jackpot payout, sending $196,209 straight into her casino account.

Designed by iGaming software developer NetEnt, the Divine Fortune game centers around an ancient Greek theme, but it’s best known as a jackpot producer among online slot aficionados.

Back in August of 2018, Divine Fortune paid out $287,945 for the largest online slot jackpot in New Jersey history to a player there. More recently, the 5-reel, 3-row, 20-payline Divine Fortune on game triggered in April for another Garden State slot spinner, awarding them a $139,852 progressive jackpot prize in the process.

Rush Street Interactive – a subsidiary of the Illinois-based Rush Street Gaming which runs the SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia – launched on July 17, two days after the Keystone State’s legal iGaming industry went live.

But while was the third online casino up and running in Pennsylvania, the site paid out the state’s first progressive online slot jackpot.

The hits didn’t stop there though, as only 39 minutes passed before a man playing from the town of Warrington turned a $30 spin on Divine Fortune online slot into a $57,349 progressive Mega Jackpot.

Divine Fortune’s progressive jackpot is divided into three tiers, Minor, Major, and Mega, and to win any of them, players must activate a bonus game before landing Bonus symbols along all three rows.

In the aforementioned press release, Rush Street Interactive president Richard Schwartz celebrated’s historic Sunday slot session:

“We are thrilled to have made online progressive jackpot history in Pennsylvania with the first hit.

It was then incredibly exciting to see the second mega jackpot winner hit minutes later.

It proves that anyone, anytime and anyplace can go online and win these life-altering amounts of money.”

Schwartz also recalled how the site’s player chat function allowed everyone on the platform to congratulate the lucky winners:

“Our Chat Room exploded with excitement when these players won.

When a Mega Jackpot hits it’s good for us, and the entire online gaming industry, as it shows anyone can easily make a few bets and change their life forever.”

Third Player Joins the Jackpot Party Four Days Later

Less than a week after the Sunday splashes, a woman enjoying from Levittown risked only $0.40 on a Divine Fortune spin.

Once again, the Bonus symbols lined up just right to trigger the Mega Jackpot, good for a $30,270 payday after the winner played for only 14 minutes.

In a second statement from Rush Street Interactive, Schwartz pointed to the tiny wager amount as proof that anybody playing Divine Fortune, for stakes of any kind, can become big winners:

“This just goes to show, you don’t necessarily have to play big to win big. Divine Fortune is a very hot game right now on and it’s easy to see why.

This also shows that jackpots can hit at any time and on any type of bet.

Since the first and second progressive wins last week, we’ve seen an increase in activity with Divine Fortune on and we expect the excitement and interest continue to grow.”
