NHL Playoffs & Stanley Cup Final News

The 2020 NHL Conference Finals are finally kaput, and the Stanley Cup Final are upon us. The top four teams from both conferences played a 3-game round robin for first-round seeding, and now, the Western and Eastern Conference winners, the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Dallas Stars will compete for the Stanley Cup, in the first Stanley Cup championship to be held solely in Canada in over 30 years (and the first final since 1928 to be held in one location, in this case, Roger’s Place in Edmonton).

Lightning vs Stars Odds: How did Game 1 go?

In Game 1, the Dallas Stars won 4-1. The first round was relatively uneventful, with each team scoring one goal—One from the Stars’ Joel Hanley and one from the Lightning’s Yanni Gourde. Dallas was up by 2 in the second round, and kept up the pace despite the Lightning trying to aggressively score a goal, focusing on defense and ending the third period at 4-1 with an empty-net goal scored in the game’s last 20 minutes.
