As part of a special promotion that began earlier this week, WSOP.com will raffle off a prize package that sends one online poker player in Nevada or New Jersey to the NFL’s championship game Super Bowl 54.
The “Sit’N’Go to the Super Bowl” promotion began on November 18 and will run through January 19. Any player on the WSOP.com platform – which operates legally in Nevada and New Jersey – eligible to participate can earn raffle tickets simply by signing up, making a deposit, or participating in online poker tournaments.
Seth Palansky on WSOP Super Bowl Contest
Speaking to industry news outlet PocketFives.com, World Series of Poker (WSOP) vice president of corporate communications Seth Palansky offered the following encouragement to WSOP.com players:
“If you have been sitting on the sidelines, now may be the time to give WSOP.com a try in Nevada or New Jersey.
This Super Bowl promotion is exclusive to WSOP.com and there are a lot of different ways to enter, whether you are a new customer to WSOP.com or a regular player.
We believe that besides winning a WSOP gold bracelet, this opportunity to win your way to the Super Bowl via WSOP.com is the next best prize up for grabs.”
Super Bowl 54 takes place on Sunday, February 2 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida. The lucky winner of the Sit’N’Go to the Super Bowl drawing will receive two tickets to the big game, along with a $3,000 travel stipend, for a prize package worth $10,000 in total.
WSOP.com Players Have Five Ways to Earn Super Bowl Raffle Tickets
Per a press release issued by WSOP.com, the platform offers both current and prospective players up to five ways to earn their Sit’N’Go to the Super Bowl raffle entries.
To kick things off, players who register for a new account with WSOP.com using the bonus code “HOTDOG” will receive one raffle ticket.
Next up, players who place a first-time deposit with the site using the bonus code “MIAMI” will score a single entry to the contest.
How the WSOP.com Sit’N Go Tournament Works
From there, winning any Sit’N’Go tournament – a single-table tournament featuring 10 players competing for the top-three spots – with a buy-in of $1 or higher earns the victor a raffle ticket. In addition, simply entering the $320 buy-in $100,000 guaranteed prize pool Sunday tournament – either through direct entry or by qualifying in a satellite – will provide another raffle ticket.
Finally, players who email their full name, WSOP.com username, and player ID to email@example.com can snag an additional ticket.
Players can earn multiple tickets using these five means, so putting in play on WSOP.com’s Sit’N’Go menu is the best way to improve one’s odds of winning their way to the Super Bowl.
Along with the grand prize package WSOP.com will also draw for secondary prizes, with one player winning an NFL Shop gift card worth $500, and 20 others claiming $150 value NFL Shop gift cards.
Promotion Stems from Caesars Entertainment / NFL Casino Partnership
Back in January, WSOP.com parent company Caesars Entertainment inked a deal with the NFL to become the league’s “Official Casino Sponsor.”
At the time, Renie Anderson – who serves as the senior vice president of NFL partnerships, sponsorship, and consumer products – praised Caesars Entertainment as the perfect partner for pro football’s first casino related sponsorship:
“We couldn’t be more excited to work with one of the world’s largest gaming and entertainment companies.
Combining the NFL with Caesars’ expertise in world class entertainment will provide our fans unique experiences both here in the United States and abroad.”
Palansky’s Card Player Magazine Interview
In an interview with Card Player magazine, Seth Palansky revealed that the Sit’N’Go to the Super Bowl promotion is the byproduct of that wider partnership:
“As you know, WSOP/WSOP.com is owned by Caesars Entertainment and Caesars signed a sponsorship deal with the NFL earlier this year.
WSOP.com is leveraging this agreement to benefit our players in Nevada and New Jersey with this exclusive promotion.
The chance to win Super Bowl tickets is an amazing opportunity for our players, and is open to both existing WSOP.com account holders and new sign-ups.”
