NFL Week 11 Odds: Betting Preview and Trends

One week after sportsbooks nationwide were slaughtered by the betting public, continuing an extended stretch of success for favorites, underdogs finally made their stand last Sunday. So how will they fare on the NFL Week 11 odds slate?

Dogs put up an impressive 8-5-1 record against the spread (ATS) in Week 10, including huge outright victories from the Titans (+6.5), Bills (+6.5), Cowboys (+6.5), and Browns (+4).

Week 11 is right around the corner, and with early NFL Week 11 odds already posted by online sportsbook Bovada, bettors have several juicy opportunities to back dogs boasting a legitimate chance to win outright.

Potential Super Bowl Preview Features Pair of 9-1 Powerhouses

Monday Night Football fans are in for a treat this week, as the top teams from each conference – the Kansas City Chiefs (9-1) and the Los Angeles Rams (9-1) – take the field.

As for which field, this game will be played at L.A. Memorial Coliseum after the originally scheduled Mexico City international showcase fell through. Atrocious field conditions at Estadio Azteca forced the NFL to relocate northward, and after opening at Rams (-2.5) given the neutral site, the line was adjusted slightly to L.A (-3.5) on the NFL Week 11 odds.

That gives the Chiefs a field goal plus the hook, an attractive spot bettors aren’t likely to see again any time soon. While both teams share identical overall records to top the league, Kansas City has gone 8-2 ATS on the year, while L.A. is only 4-5-1 versus the number.

And that mediocre ATS performance was with standout wide receiver Cooper Kupp in the fold. Kupp went down for the season last week with a torn ACL, leaving the Rams’ dynamic offense in a wounded state entering what should be a shootout.

Finally, while the Rams do get their home game back, the Coliseum isn’t exactly known for offering a true home-field advantage. With half the stadium expected to be decked out in Chiefs’ red, a healthy Kansas City team should be considered a threat to take this one outright.

Pair of Playoff Contenders Tagged as Dogs on NFL Week 11 Odds

The Minnesota Vikings (5-3-1) rolled to the NFC North title last year, but with the home stretch on the horizon, they trail the Chicago Bears (6-3) by a half-game.

The two bitter rivals have a chance to settle that race the old-fashioned way this Sunday, when the Bears host the Vikings with Minnesota a 3-point underdog. Minnesota has won three of its last four, with the only loss over that span at the hands of the red-hot Saints, while the Bears have won three in a row.

That winning streak consists of blowouts over the lackluster Jets, Bills, and Lions, however, and the Bears have struggled against more talented teams.

The Vikings should be fresh and ready to roll coming off the bye week, and head coach Mike Zimmer knows his team can’t afford to drop a heads-up game to fall further behind the Bears.

The Tennessee Titans (5-4) made a statement last Sunday by steamrolling the previously streaking Patriots, so they’ll be a confident squad entering an AFC South clash against the Indianapolis Colts (4-5) as 2-point underdogs on the NFL Week 11 odds.

Both teams still harbor legitimate Wild Card hopes, but the Titans are within one-game striking distance of the division-leading Houston Texans (6-3) – making this week’s game a must win if Tennessee wants to prove the Pats game was no fluke.

Colts quarterback Andrew Luck is quietly having one the best seasons of his career, a great sign for Colts fans who feared their elite signal-caller might be done following a full season recovering from injury. The Indianapolis offensive line hasn’t allowed Luck to get sacked a single time in their last three games, but that could change facing a fearsome Tennessee defensive front that terrorized Tom Brady to the tune of three sacks last week.
