The $25 million guaranteed Battle of Malta will welcome players from all over the world to the sunny climbs of Europe's top poker destination this July.

July is sure to be hot one on GGPoker, with the announcement of the launch of the €25 million guaranteed Battle of Malta Online 2022. Running from July 10th to 31st, there is a massive amount of money to be won and 18 feature events to be played.

What are the Feature Events?

There are 18 feature events, but obviously, some of way bigger than others. Event #1 has already kicked off, and the ‘Kings Landing’ Opener has a $250,000* guarantee, with a buy-in of just $110. Far fro being related to the famous capital city in Game of Thrones, the event is one of many with a regal theme.

On Sunday July 17th, the Kings of Tallinn Main Event takes place, with a buy-in of $220 and a guarantee of $400,000. That event takes place on the same day as the seventh event on the schedule, the Global MILLION$ European Cup, which has a million-dollar guarantee and whose final day is on the 17th.

On the following Sunday, the 24th of July, Event #11, a.k.a. the Grand Harbour Superstack costs $550 to enter and has a half-million guarantee. The Siege of Malta Bounty MILLION$ event on the same day has a full million up for grabs. On the final Sunday of the month, two events headline with the GGMasters Royal Championship costing $1,050, having a $1,000,000 guarantee. There is a massive $2.5 million guarantee in the Main Event of the Series which is Event #18 on the schedule.

Battle of Malta Excitement is Contagious

The GGPoker Battle of Malta is appealing to so many players, not least because players can satellite into events online on GGPoker. With the event entry therefore available at a fraction of the price, there is huge interest in getting in for less than 10% of the entry fee, so $10 in the opening evet for an example.

Winning big money for the price of popping into your local 7/11 for lunch is everyone’s happy place, and John Scanlon, Director of Sponsorships & Live Events at GGPoker, thinks it is perfect for players on the site to take their shot in.

“GGPoker is proud to partner once again with Casino Malta once more to host the ever-popular Battle of Malta Online,” he said. “With loads of mid-stakes poker tournaments to choose from, 18 awesome feature events and at least €25,000,000 to be won, we know that players will love this year’s series just as much as in previous years!”

There are also qualifiers taking part at the series itself, for the forthcoming Battle of Malta Live Event series, which is due to be held later this year in October. If this wasn’t enough of a tease, there are also 25 seat and hotel packages worth $1,555 each that are up for grabs. To do so, players need to finish in the upper limits of the Battle of Malta Online Leaderboard.

If you want to learn more about the Battle of Malta and how it could be your favorite poker vacation location this year, head to the official GGPoker page that explains how you can get involved for as little as a few cents.

With 18 feature events and $25 million in guarantees we can’t wait to cover some of the action along the way.
