Bet and Go is a revolutionary new game that everyone can play during the World Cup in Qatar, with poker players on GGPoker excited to take on the challenge.

The 2022 Qatar World Cup is nearly upon us and if poker fans thought they might have to take a back seat during the tournament, they were wrong. GGPoker have announced a new ‘Bet & Go’ event that will see poker players of all levels try to become a world champion in sportsbetting on the world’s favorite sport.

Bet & Go Tournaments Launched Ready for Kick Off

With stars of the 2022 World Cup such as Neymar, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi all plying their trade in the Far East, the pre-tournament favorites are Brazil. But can a team including two midfielders from Manchester United – Casemiro and Fred – lift the famous trophy just a few days before Christmas?

Whether you think that’s the case or not, you can put GGPoker’s money where your opinions are, as they have launch Bet & Go for the month of the World Cup. Supporting your favorite country, you can buy-in to the tournament and fire up the match odds to take advantage of the value in time for the group stage games… i.e. right away!

Each Bet & Go tournament will be matched to a specific game, for example the opening match between hosts Qatar and South American rivals Ecuador, or the opening group game featuring the reigning champions France, as they take on Australia on Tuesday at 11am Eastern Time.

How Does Bet & Go Work?

Each Bet & Go tournament is matched to an upcoming sporting fixture such as the World Cup games that will take place from Sunday until 18th December. There are two buy-in options available for each tournament. Each buy-in is discounted by each opponent’s odds of winning, so favorites will have smaller discounts applied to their betting price as opposed to outside shots.

The tournament then takes a dramatic twist, as whichever player supported the losing team will be knocked out of the poker tournament, but they can rebuy at a discounts buy-in should they choose to do so.

The World Cup kick off is the perfect time to start playing GGPoker’s Bet & Go tournaments, with Qatar vs. Ecuador the first opportunity for bettors to get involved. There are additional tournaments running in the following days, as three or four group stage games take place throughout the World Cup.

One poker player who will cheering on an outsider is Daniel Negreanu. The GGPoker Global Ambassador is a passionate Canadian, and the six-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner will be cheering on his home country in their first-ever appearance at a soccer World Cup, with their Group F rivals of Belgium, Croatia and Morocco difficult opponents to say the least.

“With Bet & Go tournaments, GGPoker players can support their favorite teams or simply take advantage of the biggest discounts and cheer for the underdogs,” he said. “Watch your team win the event and you’ll be free to continue to play your way into the money; it could be win-win for you!”
