The StormX Invitational returns to PokerGO in October as the worlds of cryptocurrency and poker collide with thrilling results.

PokerGO is at it again, hosting this year’s StormX Invitational at their PokerGO Studio at ARIA in Las Vegas, which will once again bring poker and cryptocurrency together in a finance and gaming blend that is sure to thrill poker fans around the world.

Will StormX, a leading “crypto cash back provider” and PokerGO’s exclusive crypto business partner, create a new champion or will we see some star names hoover up the top prizes?

When Does the StormX Invitational Take Place?

Scheduled for October 27th, this year’s StormX Invitational will take place once again at the PokerGO® Studio in Las Vegas. With a $5,000 buy-in, it’s an ‘invite-only’ or invitational poker tournament and is set to be even bigger than before.

“The first-ever StormX Invitational Poker Tournament was such a hit that we absolutely had to run it back for a second year,” said the CEO and co-founder of StormX, Simon Yu. “We are proud to continue to grow our partnership with PokerGO and create another can’t-miss event for crypto and poker enthusiasts both competing on the felt and watching from around the world.”

Some of the names already touted as attending the event included the newest StormX Ambassador, Maria Ho. She’ll be joined at the felt by Tom Dwan, Doug Polk, and Daniel Negreanu, the latter two of which famously clashed in an online heads-up match that saw Polk win to the tune of $1.2 million.

How Much Can Be Won in the Event?

With a whopping $400,000 prizepool on the cards, the event is expected to attract celebrities (late to confirm) athletes (arriving at the last minute to dramatic effect) and plenty of poker professionals, who’ll be circling to prove their prowess at the felt.

The StormX Invitational Poker Tournament will be streamed ‘as-live’ on PokerGO’s subscription service and also on their YouTube channel, as will be the case for some years, with the partnership between the two brands lasting ‘multiple years’.

“Few poker events are as fun and diverse as the StormX Invitational Poker Tournament,

blending together the enthusiastic communities of poker and crypto for an outstanding affair,” said Mori Eskandani, the award-winning President of PokerGO. “StormX remains a tremendous partner of PokerGO, as evidenced by the first-ever StormX Invitational Poker Tournament having a prize pool of more than $400,000. We’re looking forward to an even better event this time around, for both players and viewers.”

Which Poker Legend Will You be Rooting For?

With so many big names on the ticket, poker fans of every age are catered for. Poker Hall of Famer Daniel Negreanu has six WSOP bracelets and will be a big threat, while internet sensation and three-time WSOP winner Doug Polk is sure to be a big name who utilizes the spotlight that follows him around and his experience playing cash games most weeks at his part-owned club in Texas called The Lodge to great effect.

One player who straddles both the reputation of a poker legend and has extremely modern media appeal is Maria Ho, and the StormX Ambassador can’t wait for the action to begin.

“I’m so excited that the StormX Invitational Poker Tournament is back for the second year of fun and festivities. I had a great time last year connecting with like-minded people from all over the world, and I love the continued collaboration between StormX and PokerGO in strengthening the long-standing synergy across the crypto and poker communities.”

The action all kicks off in October on PokerGO and will thrill poker and crypto fans once again.
