A Fantasy Themed Slot Featuring Replicating Wilds and Free Spins

Dragon’s Inferno slot takes you into a medieval style fantasy world. On the reels you’ll find a literal knight in shining armour, a sorceress who shoots fire from her hands and a Robin Hood style bowman. Each of these aims to tackle the dragon who looms large over the reels.

This dragon is wild in more ways than one – so although the people of the Kingdom might not want the dragon to appear, you certainly will. Potions, spell books and crystal balls all appear too, only adding to the fantasy theme.

Reasons to Visit the Dragon’s Inferno

This WMS designed slot has an air of mystery and enchantment, with the following range of features:

  • Five reels filled with an array of fantasy characters including knights, dragons and potions.
  • The dragon wild symbol that will ensure many added wins.
  • A free spins bonus feature where a multiplier is applied to every win.
  • A dragon on reel three that will create replicating wilds, guaranteeing wins.

The feature symbol of the game shows an image of a large red dragon. This malevolent looking creature appears in an oversize symbol, meaning he is more than happy to invade the space of the other characters. Behind the dragon there is fire, and by the look on its face, it’s clear that it wants to create some more fire itself.

To enter the free spins feature you’ll need to land 3, 4 or 5 dragon symbols anywhere on the reels. These will pay 10, 20 or 40 spins respectively. Every time you win during these free spins, the pay out amount is doubled, which is always a handy boost for a feature.

Replicating Wilds

The slot machine Dragon’s Inferno features two different wild symbols. On reels 1, 2, 4 and 5 you’ll find a wild represented by a chest, full of gold and jewellery, while treasure lies all around it. This wild will substitute for all other symbols in the game, apart from the feature symbol.

On reel three you’ll find a slightly different wild symbol. Yes, the treasure chest is still there, however, this time there is a dragon curled around it. This wild will activate the ‘replicating wilds’ feature when included in a win line. Balls of fire will now appear out of the dragon and move across the reels. The symbols where the balls of fire land will now change into the same matching symbol as the original winning symbol, ensuring that will fill more of the reels. Some of your biggest wins in the game will occur through the ‘replicating wilds’.

Reels of Fire - The Base Game

Dragon’s Inferno features the very popular 5x3 reel configuration, with a set number of 30 win-lines. Each spin will therefore come at the cost of 30 credits. Your biggest win comes when you land a combination of the two wild symbols across a win line, giving you 500 coins. The knight, the sorceress and the bowman will all pay 200 coins for the maximum five in a row.

The mid paying symbols are an ancient spell book, an Excalibur style sword, a crystal ball and a potion. At the lower end of the pay table you’ll find the playing card symbols in a spade, a diamond, a club and a heart, which pay between 75 and 50 coins.

Breathing Fire - Dragon’s Inferno Design

The backdrop to the slot is very ‘Lord of the Rings’ featuring a huge opening filled with fire. It wouldn’t therefore be a surprise to see Bilbo Baggins appear and drop a ring into it. The array of characters on the reels add a storyline to the game, as you imagine each of the three battling the dragon. Graphically, the game feels a little behind some of the slots found online or on the casino floor – more animation and maybe a second screen feature could have rectified that. The soundtrack is a good one, especially the resounding nature of the bonus feature.

Will Dragon’s Inferno Ignite Your Passion?

Dragon’s Inferno is a fun and engaging slot. The fantasy theme will certainly appeal to many – although this game is more about taking the dragon’s money than slaying it! The free spins feature is a good one, especially when you win the 20 or even 40 spins, while the 2x multiplier is always a boost. The replicating wilds feature makes the game stand out, transforming what was a standard win into a much bigger one. It looks like alchemy is alive and well.
