Unique Respin Bonus Game with a Glitzy Theme
Lock it Link slots from WMS have game-play which is very similar to the Lightning Link games from Aristocrat. You get respins – and add cash awards and jackpots in the main bonus feature. As you’ll see below, there are also some subtle, though important, differences.
This slot has a glitzy look and feel. There are plenty of diamonds on the reels – though these are not the only aspect of the high-life you will find. Martini glasses, diamond encrusted hearts and a lady wearing some expensive looking jewellery can also be seen.
Here are the glittering line up of features on the Lock it Link Diamond slots:

In addition to the regular symbols on the reels, you’ll see hearts with sparkling diamonds around them. These have cash amounts written on them. There are also golden hearts, which say ‘mini’, ‘minor’ or ‘major’. Those refer to the first 3 of the 4 progressive jackpots.
You need 4 or more of these special diamond symbols to trigger the respins feature.
Before your spins start, three of the symbols will form a line in the middle of the reels. They will get a gold surround – and you’ll see a small lock on the left-hand side. Above the reels you see a meter showing 3 respins.
At this point the regular symbols are no longer in play. Your objective is to get more of the hearts. Every time you get one next to your group, the gold surround extends and the win on all of the current hearts increases. If you get a heart outside of your group (corner to corner does not link them), they stay on the reels. This gives you an opportunity to increase your links if you get one or more hearts in between.
Every time you get a new heart involved in your linked group – you reset to 3 more respins. This can keep the game going for a long time if they come regularly.
In addition to the smaller jackpots and increasing cash prizes, you can win the bigger ‘grand’ jackpot. To do this you need to cover all 15 spaces on the reels with hearts before you run out of respins.
I am sure that anyone that has played ‘Lightning Link’ slots will immediately see the similarities – as well as the subtle differences.
If you get 3 of the huge diamonds on the middle reels, you will trigger a free spins bonus game. This only gives you 6 free spins. It is possible to trigger the respin feature from within these. If this happens, you will complete the respins, count your wins, then head back to the free spins bonus.
It can also be triggered again with 3+ of the diamond symbols.
This is a 25 win-line slot, with a choice of denominations. You’ll spin using a regular 5x3 reel setup. Most of the symbols show expensive jewels and accessories. Your biggest prizes will come from the lady wearing diamond earrings and a necklace. You will also find diamond rings, an expensive-looking watch, martini glasses and tumbling golden dice on the reels.
Playing card suits are used for the filler symbols. These give the game a polished feel compared to the regular bold coloured playing card ranks.
Each side of the reels you can see a curving staircase, presumably part of a huge mansion. The upper part of the cabinet shows a big diamond encrusted heart, alongside the 4 jackpot prizes.
This game is more polished than lively, though there are small animations for bigger wins. When the respin bonus kicks in, the reels go dark – highlighting the red and white of the heart bonus symbols. These are totalled in the giant heart above the reels when your bonus game completes.
While the game play may be somewhat ‘borrowed’ from another slot maker – there is little doubt that this is a classy game. There are plenty of opportunities for big wins in the base game, and in the respins bonus. The main attraction is the respin bonus. The combination of access to the jackpots with symbols that increase their prizes each time a new one joins makes for an exciting bonus game.
