Super Bowl Betting & NFL Playoff Odds 2021

Before the Browns’ 48-37 shock-the-world, wild card win over the rival Steelers Sunday night, Cleveland’s last playoff win came more than 25 years ago, when Bill Belichick roamed the sidelines and Vinny Testaverde was found behind center. Although the Browns opened as 10-point dogs at Kansas City this weekend, Cleveland celebrates as it looks to reach its first AFC Championship game since 1989 and lay to rest the painful memories of the “The Drive” and “The Fumble” in crushing losses to the Denver Broncos. And yet, online sportsbooks we track, like Bovada, still lean towards the AFC and NFC No. 1 seeds, Chiefs and Packers, to raise the Lombardi Trophy as Super Bowl 55 champions.

Super Bowl 55 Betting Odds

We’ve broken down all eight remaining NFL playoff  teams’ odds vying for a trip to Super Bowl 55 in Tampa Bay, Florida in hopes of raising the Lombardi Trophy this February.

Super Bowl 55 Betting Futures – Divisional Round

Chiefs (+200) – Kansas City lost one regular season game with their starters active and Andy Reid’s success coming out of a BYE is well-documented. Cleveland’s porous secondary is about to take its final exam.

Packers (+400) – Green Bay’s high-powered offense faces the league’s top defense. Can a banged up Jared Goff keep pace should the Rams defense struggle?

Bills (+550) – Josh Allen led the Bills to their first playoff win since 1995. The MVP candidate passed for 324 yards and led the team with 54 rush yards in the 27-24 win over the Colts.

Saints (+600) – Brees vs. Brady takes center stage this weekend as the two 40+-year-olds look to knock the other quarterback into retirement.

Buccaneers (+700) – Tampa Bay was 0-2 against the Saints during the regular season, but New Orleans’ odds to hit the trifecta against an improved Buccaneers offense is a tall task.

Ravens (+750) – Lamar Jackson rushed for 136 yards to avenge last season’s playoff loss to the Titans. Now, he’s gotta decode the Bills front seven in order to reach the AFC Championship game.

Rams (+2000) – After back-up quarterback John Wolford was knocked out of the game due to a violent hit, Jared Goff was thrown right back in the fire after having thumb surgery on December 28. He’s far from 100%, but this iteration of the Rams embodies the defense-wins-championships mantra.

Browns (+2800) – Mayfield and the Browns last faced Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs back in 2018 when Kansas City torched them for nearly 500 yards and 37 points. Cleveland’s secondary remains an Achilles’ heel and one that will need to play their BEST game of the season in order to survive and advance in the AFC playoffs.

Top 5 Super Bowls All Time

While your favorite Super Bowl memories may hinge on how many hot wings and malted beverages you consumed, the league has served up some iconic on-the-field moments that we’ll never forget.

Here are our top games played on Super Sunday:

Patriots Fans Super Bowl 51 Scoreboard

Super Bowl 51

Falcons fans look away. The Patriots entered the game as 3-point Super Bowl favorites, but fell behind 28-3 midway through the third quarter. All Tom Brady did was engineer the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history to tie the game late and win the championship in overtime, 34-28. Of their six Lombardi Trophies, Patriots fans will remember this one as “unequivocally, the sweetest” thanks in large to Brady fighting back from a four game suspension at the start of the season. When the New England Patriots were down 28-3 midway through the third quarter in Super Bowl 51, a $100 bet would have paid out $1600 at a live sports book.

Super Bowl 43 Harrison Interception return

Super Bowl 43

A game that was full of big plays, from James Harrison’s 100 yard interception return for a touchdown to Ben Roethlisberger finding Santonio Holmes in the back of the end zone with only 35 seconds left. The eventual game-winner muted Arizona’s 16-point fourth quarter, but Pittsburgh’s 27-24 victory was enough to hand Cardinals +7 backers a Super Bowl cover.

Super Bowl 13 Stallworth TD grab

Super Bowl 13

Back when the National Anthem was delivered by acts like “The Colgate 13”, halftime entertainment was a “Salute to the Caribbean,” and a 30-second commercial cost less than $200,000, Super Bowl 13 is well-known for costing Las Vegas an arm and a leg. Known as “Black Monday” in Sin City, fluctuating points spreads saw the Steelers favored by as many as 4.5 points, which Cowboys backers hammered, and as low as 3.5 points, which Pittsburgh slip holders enjoyed. As “luck” should have it, Terry Bradshaw’s Steelers won by 35-31 and sportsbooks got hammered on both sides as the public beat Vegas.

Super Bowl 42 Tyree Helmet Catch

Super Bowl 42

New England’s pursuit of perfection in Super Bowl 42 was stymied, in part, by Eli Manning, David Tyree and Tyree’s helmet as the New York Giants upset the undefeated Patriots who were favored by 12 points. A 21-point fourth quarter was highlighted by Eli Manning’s game-winning touchdown strike to Plaxico Burress to hand the Giants a 17-14 Super Bowl victory.

Super Bowl 49 Butler Interception

Super Bowl 49

When Russell Wilson connected with Jermaine Kearse for a 33-yard gain, down to the Patriots 5-yard line, New England could feel their all-but-certain Super Bowl 49 victory fading away. However, after handing the ball off to Marshawn Lynch on first down to advance just inches from the goal line, Pete Carroll elected to pass on second, which resulted in one of the most dramatic interceptions in Super Bowl history and made Malcom Butler a hero and household name in an instant. Plus, what many probably forget, the Pats pulled off a slight upset as the Seahawks were 1-point favorites heading in to the big game.
