Odds to Win Super Bowl 57

The best online sportsbooks posted their Super Bowl 57 odds with the Philadelphia Eagles as small favorites. In early Super Bowl betting, the Philadelphia Eagles were installed as -1.5 to -2 favorites. Patrick Mahomes’ high ankle sprain was a question mark, but Mahomes battled through the injury to lead his team to victory.

The Kansas City Chiefs have won their second Super Bowl in four seasons, while Eagles fans and bettors must grapple with a near-miss. Though the Eagles dominated time of possession and led 24-14 at halftime, the Chiefs seized control in the 2nd Half. Down 35-27 in the 4th Quarter, Jalen Hurts led a game-tying drive. With the game tied at 35-35, the Chiefs controlled the ball in the game’s final minutes and won on a chip shot field goal with 11 seconds remaining.

Our guide to Super Bowl betting shows this year’s point spread, moneyline, and prop bets. It includes all 32 NFL teams’ odds throughout the 2022-2023 season while posting early odds for who will win Super Bowl 58.

We’ll update Super Bowl 57 prop bet odds as they become available. Real money online NFL betting doesn’t need to be complicated, and Super Bowl betting is a cherished American tradition.

Current vs Preseason Super Bowl Odds

As people can see, many of the preseason Super Bowl 57 favorites are off the board heading into the Divisional Round of the 2022-2023 NFL Playoffs. The Buccaneers, Rams, Chargers, and Ravens were preseason betting favorites to win the Super Bowl, while the Packers and Browns were favorites to make the playoffs. Even entering the playoffs, the Bills and Cowboys were fan favorites. Each fell short in a variety of creative ways.

Hats off to Daniel Jones and the New York Giants, who came into the season as 100-to-1 underdogs to win the Super Bowl. Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars had even longer odds (125-to-1), but advanced to the Divisional Round of the playoffs only a year after the Urban Meyer debacle.

Online Betting for the Super Bowl

With so many of us glued to our televisions on Super Bowl Sunday, the idea of NOT placing a little wager creates a sense of the fear of missing out. Just remember, Super Bowl betting is supposed to be a fun source of entertainment. Here are some helpful tips to consider when reviewing Super Bowl odds.

Non-Game Prop Bets

Typically a Super Bowl features two, somewhat evenly-matched teams, right? So, if you’re looking to avoid making an educated bet on the point spread, moneyline, or point total before the game, stay focused on the non-game / entertainment prop bets. These include the outcome of the opening coin toss, what product the first commercial will be promoting, specific phrases Kevin Burkhardt and Greg Olsen might say while calling the game, halftime show wardrobe malfunctions, and who the Super Bowl MVP thanks first after the game. These prop bets are perfect for casual Super Bowl bettors.

Live Betting

Live betting on a sporting event is great because you get a better feel of the game flow after it’s started. Our recommended online sportsbooks offered live betting during Super Bowl 56. So, if the underdog jumps ahead in the first quarter and you still like the favorite to rally back to win, live betting allows you to place a wager at a lower price after the game has started. Live odds frequently change so you have to be quick with your betting trigger finger. These happen in real-time, so live in-game bets on Super Bowl 57 will not be posted until the game starts.

Player Prop Bets

Who will score the game’s first touchdown, how many receptions will the top receiver have at the game’s end, and will a kicker, like Harrison Butker or Jake Elliott, connect on more than 3 field goals in Super Bowl 56 are all examples of player props you should look into.

Bankroll Management

If we’ve said it once, we’ve said it a million times: bet within your means and that goes for the Super Bowl, too. It’s wise to set aside a pool of money you plan on wagering on the NFL championship game before the opening kickoff. If you run out, don’t worry the next NFL season and Super Bowl will be here before you know it.

Super Bowl 57 Betting Odds

Last year’s Super Bowl 56 matchup featured a Bengals squad that had covered the spread in 7 consecutive games and a Rams franchise that had won eight of its last nine games. Meanwhile, the Under had hit in eight of Cincinnati’s 10 road games. Since the Rams hosted the Super Bowl at home, this betting trend did fall into focus for Super Bowl odds.

Kansas City Chiefs VS Philadelphia Eagles

Until late in the 2022 regular season, the top AFC and NFC favorites to meet in Super Bowl 57 were the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles. Since the Kansas City Chiefs secured the AFC’s No. 1 seed in Week 18, they edge out the Bills in the AFC odds. Keep in mind a potential Bills-Chiefs AFC Championship game would take place at a neutral site (Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium), which is one reason the Chiefs and Bills odds are so similar.

Most sportsbooks have the Philadelphia Eagles as 2-point favorites over the Kansas City Chiefs. The line could move once the first wave of betting happens since the Chiefs have more Super Bowl experience and Kansas City has not been an underdog often in the past few years. The opening favorite is 39-17 heads-up in past Super Bowls.

Who Won the Super Bowl 57 Bets?

Those who made the Kansas City Chiefs +1.5 point spread bet or Even moneyline bet won their wagers. Eagles bettors lost their moneyline bets and the point spread bet outright. Those who bet the Over option on the totals bets won in a major way. The Over/Under ranged from 49.9 to 51 at most sportsbooks, but the final total easily exceeded those totals at 73.

Offense dominated the game. For all the attention the poor field conditions received, it seemed to affect the defensive side of the ball more. Offensive players know where they are going while defensive players must react. The Chiefs’ defensive line was blown off the ball in most short-yardage situations, while the vaunted Eagles pass rush recorded zero sacks. Andy Reid devised an attack based on quick reads and quick passes, but most teams used that strategy against the Eagles this year.

How Super Bowl 57 Prop Bets Turned Out

Prop bets are a huge part of Super Bowl betting. Here are the results of some of the most popular Super Bowl 57 prop bets.

  • Super Bowl National Anthem Bet: Chris Stapleton’s version of The National Anthem lasted 2 minutes and 1 second. With the Over/Under set at 125 seconds, those who wagered the “Under” won the bet.
  • Super Bowl 57 Coin Toss Bet: The Chiefs won the opening coin toss, though they deferred to the 2nd Half. Their long drive to open the 3rd Quarter set the tone for the Chiefs’ 2nd Half comeback.
  • First TD of Super Bowl 57: Kenneth Gainwell came close to completing a +1800 bet based on which player would score a TD first. He seemed to score a touchdown, but replay overruled the score, which set up a short Jalen Hurts rushing touchdown. Those who bet on Travis Kelce to score the game’s first TD had to be disappointed when Andy Reid chose to defer possession until the 2nd Half. Kelce scored a touchdown on the Chiefs’ first possession, but only after Hurts had scored for the Eagles.
  • Color of Rihanna’s 1st Outfit: The Super Bowl Halftime Show is a big part of the event each year and 2023 was no different. A black outfit was the -110 favorite to win this bet, but that was not a likely choice for the flamboyant Rihanna. Instead, the 9-time Grammy winner wore a red outfit that revealed she is pregnant with her and Asap Rocky’s second child.
  • Tom Cruise Parachute Bet: Bovada even had a bet on whether Tom Cruise would parachute into the stadium to hand the game ball to the referees. The “Yes” option was +2500, while the “No” option required a -15000 bet. Of course, the “No” bet won.
  • Super Bowl MVP Bet: Patrick Mahomes, who had the second-best odds to win Super Bowl MPV, won the award. Jalen Hurts, who had the best odds, would have won the award had his team won the game. Both quarterbacks scored 3 touchdowns, though Hurts’ fumble that led to a Nick Bolton defensive touchdown was a key reason the Chiefs won the game.
  • Gatorade Shower Bet: In a twist ending, the Andy Reid Gatorade shower was purple. That was the option with the highest payout at +1400, so that wager paid off well for anyone who wagered purple.
